Samantha Acosta, School Program Coordinator.

Samantha Acosta is a Social Work graduate from Dominican University where she obtained her Masters in Social Work.Samantha started her learning career at Midwest Hospice Center as a Bereavement Counselor Intern, where she worked directly with families and children through their personal grieving process.

Through Samantha’s graduate program, she specialized in the area of Trauma and with the importance of being trauma-informed. Samantha’s work not only exceeds nationally, but she was also given the opportunity to work directly with individuals, families and communities in Uganda, where she assisted in developing a Health Outcomes Tool evaluation for the Older Persons generation.

Samantha is excited for the opportunity to work with supportive workers and volunteers at Willow House, as well, as having the ability to work directly with students and school officials as the School Program Coordinator.
