Vote for Willow House on December 7th!
Willow House provides support services to children, teens, and families who are grieving the death of a loved one. For more than 18 years, Willow House has been the “go to “program in the greater Chicago area, called upon to help young grieving families, schools, communities, and others in crisis as they cope with death.
At Willow House, grieving children and teens express complicated feelings unique to their situation providing them with a sense of relief that they are being heard and understood by those whose lives are much like their own. Last year, Willow House offered educational programs, workshops and in-services to over 60 schools at no charge. These programs are crucial because grieving children and teens who do not receive the support they need may experience problems sleeping and eating, social and school problems and suffer from anxiety and depression far more than their non-bereaved peers. Students at Highland Park High School have the opportunity to impact on the lives of grieving students if they vote for Willow House on December 7th.
“The most valuable thing I learned from Willow House group is that I am not alone and there is hope.”
