- Founder and Executive Director Stefanie founded Willow House in 1998 and has since led the organization through thirteen years of growth and change. With more than 25 years of experience in grief and bereavement, she supervises the management of all staff and interns, as well as special projects and general operation of the organization. She works with the Board of Directors in the development of a strategic plan for the organization and reports to the board on a regular basis. Additionally, Stefanie is a founding board member of the National Alliance for Grieving Children.

- Administrative Coordinator Gretchen has been with Willow House since November 2004 and is now serving as the Administrative Coordinator. She oversees the day-to-day office functions, provides support for the Director of Development and Executive Director, manages all gift entry and constituent records, and handles accounts payable and payroll for Willow House.

, L.C.P.C. - Clinical Site Coordinator for the Survivors of Suicide and Arlington Heights Groups In her role as Clinical Site Coordinator for two Willow House groups, Karen brings a great deal of professional experience as a bereavement specialist and counselor in hospice settings and in her private practice. Karen also brings her sincere personal passion to help those who are grieving the death of a loved one. As a Clinical Site Coordinator, Karen manages intakes, assessments and resource referrals for new and continuing families, supervises student interns and volunteer facilitators, works as a Willow House volunteer trainer, does community outreach and works with the Executive Director in program development and management. She also oversees many administrative aspects of the group programs, serving as a communication link with the Willow House office staff, families and volunteer facilitators. Karen’s work schedule varies, but you can leave her a message at the WH office (ext 209) with any questions about the Survivors of Suicide group or the Arlington Heights group.

– Program Assistant Mary recently joined Willow House as the Program Assistant. Mary works closely with the Executive Director, Clinical Site Coordinators, Student Interns and other staff to support and insure the successful provision of all Willow House programs services. She provides administrative support to all support program services, coordinates program-related communications, manages the program database, client records and develops and updates program procedures. As the first point of contact for new and continuing Willow House families, Mary brings her personal sensitivity and commitment to serving grieving children and families. Her compassionate understanding comes, in part, from her own experience. Mary and her children attended Willow House when she was widowed 14 years ago.
