Willow House friend and volunteer, Larry Gorey, died Sunday, February 20th, after courageously battling cancer over the past several years. For those of you who may not have had the honor and privilege of knowing Larry or his wife, Pat, Pat Gorey was an original advisor and founding board member of Willow House, and Larry was sort of an “honorary” board member, volunteer, jack of all trades. As a talented photographer, Larry would often serve as official photographer of Willow House. He especially enjoyed coming to group and interacting with the youngest children. Back in the days when the Holiday Gathering required hundreds of yards of tulle and several hours to decorate to transform the church basement for the event, Larry was there. When we started having events to benefit Willow House, Larry was there. He was there to support his lovely wife, Pat, to support Willow House and to honor the memory of his precious daughter, Susie. Larry will be missed by many, and fondly remembered by all of his freinds at Willow House.
